Ingredients You’ll Need  

You can prepare a cake with some simple ingredients that are available in your kitchen. Let’s check them out —

For the Cake Mix

  • 2 packets of plain cake mix for 2 layers of cake
  • Creamy vanilla cookies
  • Eggs, food oil, water, and pudding if you want to add
  • 2 cups of Fluffy cool  whip for frosting 
  • Food color which you prefer ( Neon blue,  green, or yellow gel is recommended) 
  • Small chocolate crunch

For Decorating the Cake

  • 4-6 Doughnuts or chocolate bars
  • 4 Tbsp. decorating gel for 2 layers of cake 

How to Make a Skateboard Cake?

Making a skateboard cake can be easily done with these few steps. All you need is simply to follow the procedure and maintain time management. 

Mix the Ingredients

As you need to make 2 layers for a skateboard cake, you better mix the ingredients separately for two of them.  You need to mix the eggs, cookies, chocolate crunch, oil, and water thoroughly with the cake mix.

Use the Pans

One asked me if it’s okay to use 2 pans for baking. And most of the bakers admit that, when it comes to a 2-layer cake, they usually use 2 cake pans. You can use one 8” round pan for cake as well as one 15×8-inch pan for baking. Pour both pans with cake mixtures, and then keep it set for a moment. 

Bake the Cake

Now it’s time to bake your cake. Set the oven to 305°F for baking. Remember, if you are using nonstick pans or dark pans, then the heat should be set at 325°F for 40 to 45 minutes. 

Allow the Cake to Cool Down

Once the baking is done, let the cake cool in pans for a minimum of 10 minutes. Now cut the round cake according to your desired shape.  

You can cut half vertically for easy shaping.  Place the bigger-sized cake on a flat cake board. Now place the small circles that you’ve cut vertically on each side. This will give a skateboard shape easily.  

Use the Frosting

Thinly cover the whole cake with just 4 tbsp. of frosting. Make sure you seal all the crumbs with the frosting. Now let it sit for 30 minutes in the fridge.  

Decorate the Cake

Here comes the most fun part of preparing a cake. Yes, it’s time to decorate your cake. Use the chocolate doughnut as the wheels of the skateboard. Trim it to form the accurate size. Finally, use some candy and chocolate crunch for finishing.
